Historical Milestones

Founded in 1823 as The Singapore Institution and later renamed as Raffles Institution, the school grew to be a beacon of educational excellence that attracted the best from all walks of life regardless of race or creed in Singapore, and from overseas. Eventually, this tradition of educational excellence led to the founding of Raffles Girls' School in 1879 and Raffles Junior College in 1982.
